 Personal Enquiry

All applicants are advised to wait till the specified time for rendering a service is over. Enquiries before due date may result in the application being assigned low priority.

In case of necessity, written enquiries may be addressed to the Consular Officer by fax or e-mail giving name, reference number (if available), date of application and contact phone number. Every effort will be made to respond to legitimate enquiries.

Telephone enquiries affect the working of the Consular Section. Only in emergency cases should telephone enquiries be made and that, too, between 1500-1700 hrs only.

All passport, visa and consular service are discretionary and can be refused, especially where there is suspicion of foul play or misrepresentation of any kind. Furnishing false particulars or attempting to obtain a passport fraudulently is punishable under the Indian passport act and can lead to imprisonment and withdrawal of passport facilities.
